  • Automated SSL via Traefik & CNAME Routing: Couples can bind their own custom domains (e.g., weddingof.johnandjane.com) without manual server reboots. The reverse proxy dynamically verifies DNS targets and issues Let's Encrypt certificates on-the-fly.
  • Strict Tenant Isolation Guard: Built-in middleware detects subdomains, root domains, and custom tenant domains. Unmapped hosts or malicious subdomains are strictly blocked with context-aware editorial 404 security isolation.
  • Domain Verification Service: Native PHP DNS resolver verifies exact CNAME records against the platform target before domain activation.

💡 Key Engineering Challenges & Solutions

  1. Challenge: Multi-Tenant Custom Domains with Zero Configuration
    • Solution: Implemented Traefik with HostRegexp('^.+$') combined with Laravel's tenant detection middleware. This allows any user to point a CNAME to the platform and receive a trusted SSL certificate automatically without storing custom domains in web server configuration files.
  2. Challenge: CDN Edge Cache Invalidation for Static Assets
    • Solution: Built an automatic file modification timestamp cache-busting pipeline (?v={{ filemtime(...) }}) across all asset entry points, resolving edge cache stagnation on Cloudflare CDN.
  3. Challenge: Hierarchical Task Dependencies in Single Page Apps
    • Solution: Developed a recursive event cascade in Laravel Eloquent models combined with optimistic UI updates in React to keep nested subtask states in perfect synchronization without page reloads.
